#MySexySaturday Sexy Adventure, a curse, a #ghost and one Hot Scot!

Welcome to the 165th week of My Sexy Saturday

This week’s theme: My Sexy Adventure

This week in keeping with the theme and Halloween, a snip from Lost Time. Hannah Keys thinks she's setting off on the adventure of a lifetime—a month in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland—but after one mishap after another—beginning with her best friend abandoning her in the airport and ending with the man of her dreams dead—she's renaming it the vacation from hell.

Excerpt

“Look, Hannah, I don’t know what to say or what you saw. Gran swears he’s here. I’ve never actually seen him, so I don’t really believe it, but I will admit some strange stuff goes on here that defies explanation. If you ran into him last night, I’m sorry that he scared you.”

“He didn’t…scare me… You’re scaring me. You’re trying to make me believe that…that the guy I”—she almost said ‘fucked’ before she caught herself—“met was a ghost?”

“Well, I guess you should consider yourself lucky that he didn’t frighten you. I’ve gotta go get some work done before you need to leave.”

He began to walk out of the room. Hannah jumped up and gripped his arm as near hysteria climbed up her sore throat. “The guy, in the portrait. He’s dead?”

“Well, I don’t know. I assume he is. That painting has been here as long as I can remember. It was here when Gran was a child, she told me before. Her family has lived here for generations.”

Hannah began to tremble uncontrollably. Jake lowered her into a chair.

“It’s okay, Hannah. You’ll be all right. I’ll get you out of here. I’ll take you to Swansea and you can just carry on with your trip. Just think of the story you’ll get to tell when you get back to Canada.”

The story she’d get to tell? Who the hell would believe her? Oh, by the way, Cass, I shagged a ghost while I was in the UK. They’d lock her up and throw away the key for sure.

Cover Reveal + #Giveaway The Dark Woods series Book 1 Part 1: Redd’s Descent by @colleenmalbert

A Twisted Retelling of Little Red Riding Hood

The Dark Woods series
Book 1/Part 1: Redd’s Descent
by
C. M. Albert

Blurb:

The dark fairy tales your mother never told you about.

Celtic folklore warns its people not to enter the Dark Woods at night if you want to live to see the light of day. For Redd Kearney, he has no choice after the death of his grandmother at the hands of the vicious, mythical half-breed creatures. But what he finds is way worse than any childhood legend ever could have warned him about.

Finding himself chained up in the creature’s den, he has two choices: surrender to her evil to stay alive, or die resisting. But the stakes are high when he has a new travel companion whose virtue he needs to keep intact, and when his wife Aine’s life is threatened if he doesn’t comply and give the Alpha what her pack needs to survive.

Can Redd surrender to his dark side without losing himself in the process? Or will Mac’s dark, insatiable desires cause his full descent before he has time to escape?

Redd’s Descent is a dark retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, where roles are reversed and the big bad wolf literally means to eat her victim alive.

 Excerpt:

REDD KNEELED ON all fours on the cold stone floor. Mac had finally gagged him so he would stop calling her a bitch. She had positioned him on the floor over her family’s history, the Gaelic markings made by her ancestors depicting beautiful images of their breed—half human, half beast. Originally thought to be a curse, the images depicted the suffering of Mac’s people at the hands of the righteous. Mac snorted. Her kind had lived among humans for hundreds and hundreds of years; nothing the humans could do would stop her.

She kneed Redd in the side, clearly showing him who was boss. He grunted, but stayed as she commanded.

Mac sat on Redd’s back, sliding herself against it and tingling at the feel of his hard muscles beneath her thighs. Aye, he had proven himself worthy this night, and dawn was nearly breaking. She didn’t want to leave him, not even for the few hours she needed to change and replenish in town. But her body would give her away if she didn’t leave soon. She looked down at Redd, so large, so human. If only things were different...

She ran her hands over his wide back, tracing the freckles with her fingers. If he could but give her what she wanted and succumb to her, she would keep him as her life mate. She had no intention of letting Redd or his virgin sidekick leave her den alive. No human had ever done that, and she would lose her position as the alpha if she allowed it now.

She grabbed Redd’s forehead and yanked his head back. “Are ye tired yet, human? Or do ye still fancy yerself a match for my appetite?”

What could possess him to return to the site of the accursed Castle? Only SHE could keep luring him back.

Present day — Ireland — The Ruin of Cairnnon Castle
Neve Brádach's final resting place...

She reaches out to me, her lovely cerulean eyes, pleading…help me. Please…don’t leave me. The subtle Irish lilt, even after all these years has not dimmed. It is still musical to my ear. I extend my hand to her. I cannot reach her. The chasm between us widens, spreads, expands the length of the island, across an ocean. This distance between us insurmountable as she remains forever unattainable. Lost but not forgotten. Never forgotten.

Book Four in the Lustful Possession Series is finally here!

Rising from the Darkness
paranormal m/m erotic romance

When mired in the darkness seek the light…

Against his mother’s wishes, Mishel Hewes decides to accompany his “uncle” Arnie Rollison on his yearly sabbatical to Ireland. Not a pleasure trip by any means, but to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the day that Cairnnon Castle fell.

But once in Ireland the pair find that Castle Cairnnon is being resurrected at an alarming rate, by some unknown benefactor. And Arnie’s first concern is for the body of the young intern he’d lost when the Castle toppled a quarter of a century before. A proper burial for the young woman was something Mishel’s uncle had always wished to provide for her, when her remains were finally unearthed.

Hoping to provide some solace for his adoptive uncle, Mish gets himself hired on the construction crew, which isn’t a hardship with all those hard bodies around. However, once inside the creepy stronghold Mish is plagued by the same strange phenomenon that had once threatened his father, many years before, on the ill-fated trip. Sick and suffering from the horrible affects of the elemental within, Mish falls to his knees, convinced he is at death’s door. But what he finds instead can only be described as a miracle. Or perhaps, one blessing is just another curse.

Here's an exclusive excerpt:

Later that evening, after a lecture from Arnie about being cautious in a foreign country, Mish headed down to The Haul. It was actually a boarding house with a bar at street level.

Mish ducked into the darkened club and looked around. Unable to locate Joel or even a crowd that looked as if they might be a bunch of construction workers winding down after a long hard day’s work, Mish bellied up to the bar.

“What’ll ya’ave?” A short, stalky barkeep asked, wiping down the counter in front.

“He’ll have a Guiness.” Joel appeared out of nowhere. “Make it two.”

Mish grinned and turned to acknowledge Joel. “Hey, how’s it goin’?”

“Glad you could make it. I’ve a booth o’er in the corner.”

“I’ll bring it o’er, Joel,” the tender offered.

“Thanks, Quin,” Joel said, leading the way. “Give us a shot o’ Bailey’s and a
blast o’ Jameson’s too,” he hollered over his shoulder to be heard above the muted music and the growing crowd.

Once at the table, Mishel scooted around the banquette, Joel slid in after.

“So, where’s the rest of the crew?”

“I couldn’t talk anaone inta joinin’ me ta’night. Most of ’em have families and
only come out on a weekend.”

“I see. Well, thanks for coming to meet me anyway.”

“No’ a problem.” Joel met Mish’s gaze, just as Quin brought the drinks. Strangely, the shot glasses were not full.

“You plan on carryin’ this one home tonight then, Joel?” The server grinned
giving Mish the once over.

“I’m hopin’ Quin. Thanks.”

Joel turned his attention back to Mish, and the direct cool cobalt gaze he laid
on him went straight to his groin.

“So, what brings you ta Ireland, Mishel?” Joel stretched, and Mish admired the
way his tight T-shirt pulled across his sculpted chest.

Nervously, he took a small sip of the dark beer. “My uncle comes here every
year. I thought I’d tag along this visit.”

“Your uncle? Arnie? You said he was a friend when you introduced us.” Joel’s
gaze narrowed.

Shit! “Yeah, I did. I didn’t think it sounded very professional,” Mish rushed to
defend.

Joel’s gaze dimmed and he looked away. “And lyin’ about it is better?”

“Well, no, I didn’t think it through.” With an automatic response Mish placed
his hand over the other man’s wrist. An undercurrent shot through his fingertips as Joel levelled him with another intense stare. Mish was pleased when Joel didn’t remove his hand.

“So, you’re only here for a short period. Why would you be seekin’
employment?”

“I don’t have to go back. I can stay here however long I want.” Mish removed
his hand.

“Don’t you have a job at home ta get back to?”

“I can get a job anywhere any time. I’m that good.”

Joel snorted. “We’ll see.” He took a large swallow of his beer then picked up
the shot of whiskey. “Startin’ now.” Joel poured the Jameson’s on top of the
Bailey’s Irish Cream and then dropped the entire shot glass into his pint. Without pause, he picked it up, gave a silent salute, then chugged the entire contents. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand as he slammed the glass back down onto the tabletop. With an evil grin, he challenged, “Your turn.”

Mish mixed the whiskey and Irish cream then sank it to the bottom of the beer. He picked it up and stared at the concoction.

“Ya’d better get after it before it curdles. Tha’s no’ wha’ you want,” Joel
advised.

Inhaling deeply, Mish downed the blend, beyond his better judgement.

“Yeow!” he commented when he could breathe again.

Joel chuckled and the sound went straight through Mish. “Now, in about three minutes you’ll be more relaxed, and we can get to know each other better.” He signalled to Quin at the bar.

The next installment in the Lustful Possession series is now available for pre-order ONLY .99¢
Book Two in the Lustful Possession Series
(release date April 24)

This story picks up right where Meet Me in the Dark finished off.

Is it possible for the human body to recover from supernatural possession?

That’s the question, Josh Hewes and Crishtin Davenport grapple with daily.

After being controlled by some amorous spirits during a paranormal investigation, their lives have not been their own.

In an attempt to help the apparitions “crossover” the only thing they’d been successful in doing, is allowing the souls of Miles Townshend and Shelley Smythe — two long dead individuals — to take up semi-permanent residence as their hosts and use their corporeal bodies at whim.

Josh and Crish are beginning to have feelings for one another, but to complicate matters; they are also developing affections for the insatiable phantoms who visit them nightly.

As Josh and Crish attempt to find a way to rid themselves of their bothersome visitors, normal life has to resume, and Josh having work commitments to fulfill, jets off to Ireland on yet another paranormal investigation with his colleagues.

But Josh soon discovers that mixing spiritual possession with a malevolently haunted castle can carry grave consequences.
