#MySexySaturday New Year - Second Chances - Memories of Us

Welcome to the 123rd week of My Sexy Saturday.

This week’s theme: Our Sexy New Year
Readers, please visit us at our new Author Central where we’ll be sharing even more from our authors besides Saturday’s snippets. We’d love to have each and every one of you there as we’re starting things this month with fun and prizes along the way.
This week’s theme is Our Sexy New Year. What did you do for New Year’s this year? Was it sleeping off that major party you went to? Or how about waking up in someone’s bed? You decide and give the readers some wonderful new memories.

Karis and Call share a past. Be seduced by Memories of Us...

“But never mind. You’re right, she’s not your type at all. She’s more mine. Don’t look. I saw her first. Dibs. Keep your face in your phone. This one’s going home with me.”

“Well, hello, gentlemen. Welcome to Kit’s. What can I get you?”

As soon as she started talking, it was as if I was caught in a time warp. I swung in the direction of the smoky feminine voice that had plagued most of my teenage years.

“Karis?”

Before I even realized what I was doing, I was up and out of my chair. Her face lit up right before I swallowed her up in a big bear hug.

“Call!” she shrieked, returning my hug as she threw her arms around my neck. I closed my eyes and savored the feel of her slim but curvaceous form flush against my body. I inhaled her unforgettable exotic scent. The familiar yet unwelcome feeling of anxiety mixed with excitement shot through me.

The wild child, I thought affectionately as I held her. Christ! How many scrapes had Trey and I pulled her out of when we were younger? It hadn’t been easy on Trey, being Karis’ older brother, but it hadn’t been easy on any of us. She’d earned the nickname wild for a reason.

BLURB:

Call Barstow spent the better part of his teenage years fighting off the sexual advances of Karis Hirt. Gorgeous, wild, promiscuous, and his best friend, Trey’s little sister, to boot. This in the teenage boy vernacular is referred to as pure unadulterated hell!

Determined to keep his friends from his sister, Trey swears all his buddies to a hands-off-the-sister pact, which Call takes very seriously. Call’s pledge is only made more torturous when the sensual little vixen, Karis, is determined to make him break his vow. But his constant rejection only drives her to rebel, leaving her reputation in tatters.

Years later, Karis resurfaces in Call's life—a subdued version of the wild child he remembers. Suddenly the pact doesn’t seem important anymore, nor does her spotty reputation. As Call begins to reconcile the past-and-present Karis, he is inundated with memories of her and soon finds himself head over heels with the girl who consumed his youth.

Can Call not only forget but overlook her shadowed sexual history for a bright new future? Or will Karis’ wild past only lead to their eventual ruin?

Evernight's Holiday Hangover Hop GRAND PRIZE iPad mini @evernightpub #Giveaway #Contest

Evernight's Holiday Hangover Hop (Jan 1 - 4)

Happy New Year from Evernight!

Now that the Christmas cookies are gone, gifts unwrapped, and your holiday visitors have left, you’ve earned some well-deserved TLC. Evernight authors not only have the cure for your holiday hangover, they have fantastic new books for your 2015 reading list, too!

Be sure to visit every stop on the hop and answer each question. The more blogs you hop, the more chances to win the GRAND PRIZE of an iPad Mini sponsored by Evernight Publishing (one entry per blog). Plus, hop each blog for a host of other fabulous prizes.

So sink into your favorite chair and enjoy your holiday hangover...

According to the Mayo Clinic (online) the symptoms of a hangover are: Fatigue and weakness, thirst, headaches and muscle aches, nausea, vomiting or stomach pain, poor or decreased sleep, increased sensitivity to light and sound, dizziness or a sense of the room spinning, shakiness, decreased ability to concentrate, mood disturbances, such as depression, anxiety and irritability and confusion.

This could be me on any given day, no alcohol needed. LOL!

As for remedies, they suggest:

Fluids, such as, water and fruit juice. I usually crave something fizzy like ginger ale.

Have a snack. Their suggestions are bland foods, toast or soup. I usually want something terribly greasy, like bacon, eggs or french fries. After I'm feeling better, of course.

Pain killers. I usually do that one before I go to bed as a preventative. (doesn't always work though) Depends what I've been over imbibing on.

Go back to bed

All common sense.

I know others use concoctions of some kind, like Bloody Marys. Or coconut milk, Gatorade or Vitamin Water. You've heard them all, right? Eat a banana or an apple. Bread or crackers.

And as I was doing a quick little research, I found one I hadn't heard of. A Wasabi or mustard bath. It takes the toxins out of the body apparently. Who knew.

There's an entire Pinterest page dedicated to hang over cures. Check it out if you're in need.

And last, my favourite option. Have another drink.
Cheers All!

Here's a little sneak peek to my upcoming release and first collaboration with Evernight, entitled Next Weekend, coming out in January. It's about a couple going through a divorce but the wife, who initiated the proceedings, is more attracted to her husband after the fact than she was while they were married. Whaaaat??!!?? :D And then there's the (very mild burgeoning) D/s element. Hope you'll check it out.

(here's the unedited blurb)

Miranda and Jordan Lang cordially invite you to their divorce.

Jordie is not completely surprised when Miranda suggests they separate. Their marriage had been deteriorating from the moment they took their vows. Although heartbroken things didn’t work out with the woman he expected to spend the rest of his life with, he doesn’t contest her decision.

The only thing holding up the final divorce decree is the sale of their get-away cabin. In a weak moment, Miranda heads there for the weekend knowing full well that Jordie will also be there. Accidentally—on purpose, she seduces him and leaves an open invitation for another naughty weekender.

But the next time they meet, Jordie’s anger over the entire situation has kicked in and he finds himself being rough and commanding with her. And even more surprising, his ex likes it.

Follow Jordie as he finds and embraces his dominant side and Miranda her submissive self.

Will it be enough to save their doomed relationship or will the issues that drove them apart remain more than they can overcome?

Also watch for my second release with Evernight, coming in February 2015, Memories of Us

Enter for a chance to win Evernight’s GRAND PRIZE of an iPad Mini and my blog prize by answering this question (be sure to include your email address to be eligible to win):

My question to you, since we're all book lovers, Name your favourite book of 2014. I know for some of us that's a hard one. If you can't narrow it down, how about sharing your fav book of all time. I'll share mine with you, Jane Eyre. I know, shocker right! LOL

As for my giveaway, I'll be sending my winner a $10 Evernight Publishing Gift Certificate.

Hope you had a fantastic New Year's Eve.
Hope you didn't do anything I wouldn't do.

I'd like to wish you all a safe, prosperous
&
Happy New Year
