My Sexy Saturday ~ The rules are simple
Post 7 paragraphs or 7 sentences or 7 words from a WIP or published work

Welcome to the 21st week of My Sexy Saturday.
Have you ever read a book that pushes the boundaries on sex? Maybe the characters do something a little unusual, a little different. Or maybe the characters just push their boundaries when making a play for someone because they want them in their lives. Let’s face it, all characters take risks when trying to win their mate. Sometimes it’s so hot, it sizzles the pages. Sometimes it’s that quiet moment alone in front of a fire. Wherever and whatever it may be, or the characters may do, it’s agreed that writers love to share those moments with you. Join us this week as we share some of those red light sexy encounters be they tame, hot or sizzling.

The highlighted sentence in the paragraph above provided by our lovely My Sexy Saturday Blog Hop hostess Lynn, caught my attention. Because for Hailey and Mike, from my erotic romance Swap; trying to fight their attraction is nearly impossible and not only do they push the boundaries physically and morally, so did I in writing this book. But being my first one, I was completely unaware that I'd been bucking one of the long unwritten rules of writing romance. Absolutely, No Cheating. You see, Hailey is married to Mike's brother, Brent (Mike is also entangled). I think that qualifies as risk-taking and boundary pushing. Ahh, ignorance is bliss!

I looked up at him, wanting a repeat of the other night. Was he having the same thoughts? I knew he was aroused. I didn’t even have to look. I could see the desire in his eyes. It made my skin prickle with raw heat. He just kept standing there, as if he didn’t want to leave. Do it, Michael, I encouraged him in my head. He wanted it, too. I could see it. Or was I just wishing for it to be there?

What would he do if I made the first move? Ripped at his clothes, sank to my knees in front of him and took his jutting cock into my mouth, leaving him no options? I knew he wouldn’t be able to resist it. Why couldn’t I just seize my chance? Why couldn’t I just tempt him, push him right over the edge of control?

I hope you enjoyed this extraction from Swap. Don't forget to check out the rest of this week's My Sexy Saturday participants from the list below.

Have a Sexy Saturday!

  1. I get a kick out of the conflict in your snippet. Sex is hotter when it's forbidden! Cheating might be taboo, but I think this is an exciting scenario.

    1. Thanks Serena. Readers have been quite passionate about letting me know what they think. I even lost some Twitter followers.I was actually surprised with everything else that is out there today, that this would get people riled. But like I said, I didn't know any better. Thanks for stopping, Serena. :)
      Cheers

  2. I will admit I see the attraction for the taboo in your snippet. And I'm sure there are a million housewives and husbands who've shared her sentiments at one time or another.

  3. I understand the whole 'no cheating' thing on the one hand for romance, but it would be like pretending that other things in sex and romance don't exist either. Like you said, of all the things that are out there - this would get you unfollowed? I guess I sort of did the same thing - I had cheating in one of my short stories too. Ooops. With that said - I loved the snippet - that irresistible attraction is real!
