When I began writing this story, the heroine and I were both experiencing an empty nest for the first time and I found that all of my own worries and fears kept creeping into the plot. I actually had to put the manuscript away for a while until I could deal with my own issues. It probably helped that although the children have gone to college and university, they've also taken turns gravitating back, at separate times. As of right now, I still have one, out of three, under my roof. I'll take it, gladly. I know some people can't wait for that day, I am not one of them.

From the start, I was intrigued with Kaylah and her old house. The idea of the paranormal good or bad makes the story thrilling. Salem and Kaylah are both survivors and I appreciate how well they are suited for one another. Then comes the shocking truth that Salem uncovers and I was flabbergasted, did not expect the turn in this story. I love it!
