Title: Dark Beast
Author: Alexa Sinclaire
Publisher: Evernight Publishing
Release Date: February 9th, 2015
Genre & Length: M/F Erotic Romance Novella

Blurb

Scarred and bitter, all former soldier Kieran Thomson wants is a wife, a beautiful bride he can control and manipulate. And use for really hot sex. He isn’t supposed to fall for her. He isn’t supposed to actually care about her. He just wants to lock her up in a gilded cage and use her for his own pleasure. But when she finds a way past his barriers with her sensual touch, Kieran realizes he must either set her free or let her into his heart.

Despite being ignored and shunned by her family, Josephine Richmond is willing to protect them at any cost. Even if it means marrying a man she’s only just met. They say he’s a beast, scarred inside and out. She knows she should be afraid, she knows she should hate him for trapping her, but she can’t. Unable to resist her attraction to her husband, Josephine’s determined to make the marriage work. Especially when she has her own secret scars that only Kieran seems able to heal.

Excerpt

Looking down at the petrified Josephine, Kieran rationally understood why she was nervous, but he didn’t care. Not one tiny bit.

The woman was an adult, after all. She wasn’t being forced—maybe ‘manipulated’ was the word—into the marriage. To hold back the feeling of pity creeping into his conscience, he remembered the look on her face when she saw his scars at their one meeting before the wedding. The repulsed reaction was just like all those women before her who trembled at his disfiguration, and reminded him that like those vapid bimbos, she was as superficial as them.

It was the main reason he felt little guilt in picking her purely based on looks. She’d been stunning as a sixteen-year-old girl and now six years later, she’d grown into her body and was absolutely beautiful. Her figure was something out of a 1950s pinup: smooth curves and dips, filling out in all the right places. Unbelievably fuckable.

Her skin was porcelain smooth with a few freckles across the bridge of her nose that looked a bit out a place on her alabaster skin yet gave her something unique. But it was her mouth that really killed him: luscious and pink, with a distinct curve along the upper lip that he wanted to lick. They looked permanently swollen and ever since their brief meeting to discuss the prenuptial agreement, he’d spend many a night imagining those lips wrapped around his hard cock. At least that hadn’t been damaged by the landmine.

Josephine’s innocence practically radiated off of her. Her father had informed Kieran that she’d attended a strict boarding school before returning home and now attended college through an online-learning program. Considering her father’s social standing, her isolation seemed suspect, but Kieran didn’t let himself dwell on it too much.

Kieran watched her lips now as she began to speak the words that committed her to the marriage. Committed her to him.

“I-I-I do.” The tremor in her voice was audible.

It was now time to kiss the bride, he heard the priest inform them, and he waited for the moment of revulsion to cross Josephine’s face as she turned to face him, just as it had two weeks ago. But all he saw was slight trepidation as she looked up into his eyes. Her gaze didn’t even wander across his face and onto the scars. She remained looking up at Kieran, focusing intently on his own hazel eyes. Why wasn’t she recoiling?
Irritated by the feelings of confusion her stoic stare caused in him, he wrapped one arm around her waist, whilst grasping the other behind her neck, and firmly pulled her flush against him. Leaning down, he smashed his lips against her perfect mouth. He stiffened as he felt her small hands grasp his biceps.

Kieran expected her to subtly try and push him off her, but inside she melted into his arms. Not only was she not pushing him away, she seemed to be willingly letting him draw her small, soft body against his own. She didn’t even stiffen in his grasp. Her hips pressed against him and as he pulled away from her mouth, he heard a faint sigh escape from her lush lips.

Almost as if she’d enjoyed it.

Aware of their location, he willed himself to step back. He released his wife from his grasp but moved to grasp her hand and turned to walk out of the church. Kieran glanced over at her, amazed to see that a flush had spread across her cheeks and neck. As if she’d relished his touch. No, it was impossible to think that she was anything but repulsed by him. After all, he was a monster.

Nothing more than a beast.

#WeWriWa Teaser 9 Naughty Fairy Tale - Jack and the Jean Stock #8Sunday

Here's the next 10 from Jack and the Jean Stock. Last week, we left poor Jack holding the goods when an overly touchy feely cop showed up on scene. Here's what happens next...

The cop reached into Jack’s pocket and retrieved the drugs.

“Not again. I told you to stay the fuck away from here.”

“I know, but she needs them, man. Give me a break … please?”

“I cut you a break the last time. And the time before that. I can’t keep doin’ this, Jack.”

The click of the cuff and the touch of cold steel on his wrist sent Jack’s hopes dwindling. He’d run out of luck.

Blurb:

Strapped for cash and drowning in his ailing mother’s medical debt, the one bright spark in Jack Castor’s life is working his dream job for a specialty clothing manufacturer that caters to large men. Although his personal life is all but nonexistent, career-wise, he thrives under the tutelage of his friend and father-like mentor, Cronus Gigandet, a gigantic man with a heart to match. But when Cronus dies suddenly, the company’s future is thrown into uncertainty.

Titan Gigandet, Cronus’ wayward son, a giant of a man in his own right, is furious when he learns his father has included his upstart protégé, Jack, in his will, leaving him equal shares in the family-run factory. Reluctantly, Titan rescinds his own self-imposed exile and returns to a company in turmoil.

The gloves come off, and the major players fight for control. With the shareholder’s agreement about to run out, decisions concerning the business need to be made, and quick. But Jack and Titan clash at every turn. The pair is so at odds, the quarrels rapidly become physical, but fists soon give way to angry, forbidden kisses. Though the blazing new attraction does nothing to quell the antagonism or distrust between them.

While battling to save the company, Jack’s mother takes a turn for the worse. Just when it seems like all hope is lost, Titan unearths a stunning find.

Could this new discovery be Jack’s ‘golden goose’ or just the beginning of the end to everything Jack holds dear?

#WeWriWa Teaser 8 - Naughty Fairy Tale #8sunday Jack and the Jean Stock

Here's the next 9 from Jack and the Jean Stock. Last week, we left poor Jack holding the goods when an overly touchy feely cop showed up on scene. Here's what happens next...

With his muscular frame, the lawman pressed Jack up against the wall, coaxing his palms flat against the cool brick. “Keep ‘em up there.”

With his shiny black boot, Tabart kicked his stance wider. “Spread ‘em.”

All hands once again, Rick unzipped Jack’s coat and continued to frisk him, molding his strong hands over Jack’s chest.

“Mm, been workin’ out, Jackie?”

But just as he was about to reply, Rick ran the heel of his hand down the length of Jack’s dick, still at half mast from the first overlyfriendly body search. Rick then pressed his body to Jack’s and rubbed his own hardened cock against his ass.

A noise farther up the alley had Rick pulling back.

Excerpt:
I clapped my hands together and practically scared Scarlett into a sitting position. “Okay, so I guess it’s time we get you cleaned up.”

She shook her head, and a mess of crimson spirals moved haphazardly across her fair face. “Oh, ouch.” She reached up and touched the back of her head.

I was instantly at her side. “Lie back down.” She gently slid on the couch. “Crap. Maybe you have a concussion.” I looked behind me at the front door, but I knew Granny had already left. I carefully sat beside Scarlett and moved a wayward lock away from her face. I leaned over and started feeling behind the back of her head. I felt her eyes on me as I groped her head like I was checking a watermelon for freshness. I really wasn’t sure what I was doing because suddenly touching Scarlett sent my senses into overload. Her hair was soft and silky between my fingers. I slowed down my rhythm and gently massaged her scalp. A low murmur escaped her lips. I quickly glanced at her, and her eyes were closed. I wanted to lean over and kiss her perfectly plump lips, but I returned my focus to her head where my hands wove through her wild hair that was a wonderland of richness. Even though she was soaked in wine, her head smelled like lavender. Now when I looked again at her, she looked up at me and smiled.

“I don’t feel any bumps?” I asked as more of a question than a statement.

Scarlett’s deep, husky laugh rose to my ears like an aphrodisiac that sent a signal to my brain and straight to my jeans as if she had suddenly cupped my cock. Her laughter was that enticing. It spiked a primal desire to have her beneath me with her mouth wrapped around my cock, which was beginning to grow as fast as my field of bean stocks.

I quickly shook my head and jerked away from her as if from a hot flame. “Yup,” I said brushing my hands together and trying to shake free from the heat that radiated between us. “I think you’re A-okay. Okay-dokay.”

She looked up at me, and her faint green eyes questioned me. “What happened?”

I shrugged. “Nothing. Just taking Granny’s orders to get you cleaned up. So let’s get moving and get you ready.” I hiked my thumb toward where I imagined the bathroom was located. “I’ll start the shower, run a bath, or grab a bucket of water from the well.” I scratched my head. “I’m not sure if there’s running water out here. But no matter.” I snapped. “I’ll do whatever it takes.” I pointed to Scarlett. “To get you freshened up.” Who am I? I sounded like some jingle writer for a feminine hygiene commercial.

Scarlett shook her head. “But Granny won’t be back for at least an hour.”

I nodded. “Yes, but she left me in charge to get you cleaned up.”

Scarlett slightly raised her hips off the couch, and her yellow skirt fell forward to reveal sheer panties that were streaked red. But even stained in wine, it was clear to see that Scarlett was a true redhead.

“I don’t think I should move in my condition,” she said with a coy look on her face. “Could you help me, Jack?”

I swallowed hard and looked at the tiniest, barely-there V-shaped panty that was held together by thin, pink, spaghetti-like straps that hugged Scarlett’s narrow hips. I wanted to gnaw them off with my teeth to get to the strip of hair that was tucked beneath the sexy sheer. Instead, I held Scarlett in my gaze.

“Maybe you hit your head too hard?” I said trying to maintain some semblance of control, trying to be the good guy, trying to remember that we just met. Trying to get a handle on a situation that was suddenly moving too fast, too soon, and yet felt so right, which made no sense at all.

Scarlett rolled her head from side-to-side. Locks of her hair swayed in a truly mesmerizing, hypnotic fashion. “Jack, Jack, Jack. You over-think things way too much. If this Wolfe guy really is so bad and I really was in harm’s way then you just came and rescued me.” She looked up at me, and in that look I could have shot my load.

“Shouldn’t we be living in the moment?” Her voice dripped with sex appeal, and my mind and body stopped working together. “Shouldn’t we forget what’s behind us and start moving forward? I’m not usually this way, but tonight hasn’t gone anywhere like I had planned. I met some Wolfe in the woods. I knew he was bad news, I knew that, but I didn’t listen to my gut.”

For a moment anger flashed across her face. “I should have listened to my first instinct. But I didn’t.” She shook her head. “I did what was expected of me. I shared my dessert. I played nice.”

Her hands were in her lap, and she opened them like she was releasing a bomb. “And then because of my kindness, I got knocked out by you, and now you tell me that Blue may have lost everything?” Her voice dropped like she was about to cry. “If we can’t save what Blue lost…”

Scarlett placed both of her hands over her chest, and in that moment I could tell that what she needed. What she wanted wasn’t necessarily me, but some retreat, some reprieve, some form of escapism from everything that had just happened. And if I could give her thirty minutes, though I hoped much longer, of total release, what was the harm?

“What are you doin’ down here, Jack?”

Relief flooded him the moment he recognized Sergeant Rick Tabart’s voice.

Tabart began patting Jack down, all the way to his ankles. Then on the journey back up his body, he slowed around the crotch area.

“Got any weapons on ya?”

“No.”

Tabart’s breath heated Jack’s neck, his lips feathering against his earlobe. “Feels like a concealed weapon to me.” He paused. “A big one.”

#WeWriWa Teaser 6 - Naughty Fairy Tale #8sunday Jack and the Jean Stock

Here's the next 9 from Jack and the Jean Stock. Last week, we left poor Jack with a gun pressed to his ribs. Here's what happens next ...

A quick blast of a siren rent the air, followed by red and blue lights swirling across the brick walls in the alleyway. It was enough to send the dealer sprinting down the backstreet into the darkness, leaving Jack to face the consequences alone.

“Fuck!” Jack hung his head and pocketed the goods. He stood stalk still as he heard the cruiser pull up, blocking the alley.

He heard the car door open and braced himself for whatever might come next.

“Freeze, hairball.”

Instinctively, he put up his hands.

From behind, a large, hairy knuckled hand encircled his wrist and yanked one arm behind his back.

Here's another 10 from Jack and the Jean Stock. Last week, we left poor Jack with a gun pressed to his ribs. Here's what happens next ...

“Put that thing away and look.”

Rooting around behind, Mouse shoved the weapon into the back of his jeans, pulling his coat over the offending piece and then he squinted. “I don’t know. I’ve got this new supplier. He’s into all kinds of crazy stuff. Witch doctor shit. But word on the street is his stuff is pure and high quality and very much in demand. You don’t want it; I’ll sell it to somebody else for even more. I give you a good rate man, on-accounta your mom and all. Even I have a soft spot for the mamas.”

#WeWriWa #8sunday Teaser 4 Naughty Fairy Tale - Jack and the Jean Stock

Here's another tease from new release Jack and the Jean Stock. Last week, we left poor Jack on the seedier side of town with a drug dealer. Here's what happens next ...

Squinting in the shadows, Jack held up the zipper bag.

“What the fuck are you doing?” the dealer hissed. “Are you crazy? Stash that.”

“I’m making sure they’re all here, Mouse. You short changed me last time.” Probably not smart to accuse him of such a thing.

Before he could blink, something hard butted up against his ribcage. “You got alotta fuckin’ nerve, Castor. I could fuck you up bad and toss your body in the nearest dumpster, and no one would bat an eye.”
